چکیده
Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei (EHP), a microsporidian responsible for hepatopancreatic microsporidiosis, is major pathogen in commercial shrimp production. Among the affected species, Palaemon carinicauda (formerly Exopalaemon carinicauda) commercially important China and represents potential research model studying crustaceans. However, little information available on its response to EHP infection. Hence, this study analyzed transcriptome metabolome of P. carinicauda’s hepatopancreas using high-throughput sequencing liquid chromatograph-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) determine during early stage The transcriptomic analyses identified 730 differentially expressed genes, which those associated with infection were enriched metabolic pathways as well detoxification antioxidant pathways. In addition, 144 differential metabolites combination positive negative ion modes LC-MS. Kyoto encyclopedia genes genomes pathway further indicated that degradation aromatic compounds, AMP-activated protein kinase signaling C5-branched dibasic acid metabolism significantly after These results could provide useful insights into effects shrimps stages help understand mechanisms underlying stunted growth

Laboratory cohabitation challenge model for shrimp hepatopancreatic microsporidiosis (HPM) caused by Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei (EHP)
BACKGROUND Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei (EHP) causes hepatopancreatic microsporidiosis (HPM) in shrimp. It is probably endemic in Australasia and was first characterized and named from the giant or black tiger shrimp Penaeus monodon from Thailand in 2009. Later, it was also found to infect exotic Penaeus vannamei imported for cultivation in Asia. HPM is not normally associated with shrimp mortal...
متن کاملA Nested PCR Assay to Avoid False Positive Detection of the Microsporidian Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei (EHP) in Environmental Samples in Shrimp Farms
Hepatopancreatic microsporidiosis (HPM) caused by Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei (EHP) is an important disease of cultivated shrimp. Heavy infections may lead to retarded growth and unprofitable harvests. Existing PCR detection methods target the EHP small subunit ribosomal RNA (SSU rRNA) gene (SSU-PCR). However, we discovered that they can give false positive test results due to cross reactivity ...
متن کاملMetabolomic and transcriptomic stress response of Escherichia coli
Environmental fluctuations lead to a rapid adjustment of the physiology of Escherichia coli, necessitating changes on every level of the underlying cellular and molecular network. Thus far, the majority of global analyses of E. coli stress responses have been limited to just one level, gene expression. Here, we incorporate the metabolite composition together with gene expression data to provide...
متن کاملHistopathological response of hepatopancreas and gill in Metopograpsus messor crab exposed to cadmium pollutants
In recent years, monitoring the amount of pollutants in aquatic ecosystems by quantity measures in water, sediment and fish tissue has shifted to the quality measures of pollutant effects on aquatic animals and assessment of aquatic animal health and, ultimately, the ecosystem. This research performed on three replicates has examined the histopathological response of hepatopancreas and gill in ...
